Biography

Syn Nakamura is representative Basic Werk. His musical career began in Tokyo in the late 90's, for over 10 years, has been involved in project planning and management, mainly in music and visual arts. When he was still young, he turned to musician from visual artist. Later, his current activities across the ambiguity (acoustic improvisation, experimental workshop session with electronic instruments, creating songs with a laptop in the lounge and cafe and club DJ... ) His music has a unique texture and tone. He has laid out a three-dimensional and stoic music by visual approach to capture the sound.

本名：中村心。Basic Werk代表。90年代後半に都内で音楽活動を開始し、10年以上に渡って、音楽／ビジュアルアートを主体にした企画運営に携わっている。自身の作品制作は、20代前半に絵画の世界から、本格的に音楽の世界へ移行している。生楽器による即興から、電子楽器による実験的なワークショップセッション、ラップトップでの楽曲制作、クラブ／カフェ・ラウンジDJまで、活動範囲は多義に渡る。絵画／映像的なストラクチュアで音を捉えるアプローチから産み出すその立体的でストイックな音楽は、独特の質感と響きを持っている。
